The oft-repeated trilogy of Zoroastrianism: Good-thoughts, Good-words, and Good-deeds.
I disagree with this in that this is neglecting the core Origin of these Consequences. Nor do they tell us what to do if we “fall off” or lose our way, which is the problem with the World today. We lost too much that we then forgot and this…
This has been the 2,000+ year long journey of getting back what it is we lost. Yes, the Truth and Science will always come back to us… But 2,000 years is a long, long time to suffer in the Darkness without The 12 Ethics.
And suffer we did.
I feel it now. The end of this horrific chapter. The Dark Ages that began in the 4th Century… it is coming to a close. And before then, it was 600 BCE to the 4th Century CE. We had to fight for this Wisdom and Knowledge.
And prior to 600 BCE, we suffered for so long, guessing and “trial and error-ing” on what is right and what is wrong, while we ached and craved to be good.
The Story of Truth, Knowledge, and Wisdom. This is The Story of Story. It is the Story of Humanity. The Story of Us.
How a Race began with the need and desire to Connect through Story around a Fireplace at our Origin. How we Craved Knowledge and how we “set out into the world” to Learn, To Know… so that we would know.
But to Know and Appreciate knowledge, we had to first lose it and forget. And now we do know. And I never want to forget ever again.
I don’t think any one on this planet does. We suffered so greatly. And we must remember the Suffering. We must remember “the time when we lost Knowledge, Wisdom, and Ethics, Story, and Truth… Humanity and then Knowledge… and Thus… we lost Us.”
So let us always begin with The Story of Story and the Story of Truth and The Story of Knowledge and Wisdom and Humanity. And of all the Stories that we tell, may this one always be remembered. Never be forgotten.
And The Story of The 12 Ethics. That is the other story. Never, never never forget this story either.
May Asha (Love and Truth) help us all if we do.
