Hubris means “Excessive Pride” or “Excessive Self-Confidence.” 

This is often what people mistake as “Arrogance.” 

They confuse Pride with Excessive Pride and so, because they are Narcissists, they go “extreme” to Excessive No Pride and Excessive No Self-Confidence. 

This is because they are so uneducated in “Pride” and “Confidence” that they “play it safe” with black-and-white Excessive extremes.

Someone who is educated in Pride and Confidence can obtain these States of Beings while knowing where that line is crossed.
