Healing is not something that should be kept away from our Children. Tell your children, “I am being responsible now and am taking care of my mind. I’m going to be crying and angry a lot, but I want you to know that I am okay, that I will be okay, and that emotions are absolutely always right.” 

It’s okay to be upset and angry. This is healthy. It is Self-Love and Self-Preservation and it is what healing looks like. 

I’m learning how to be responsible and Independent now.”

 

If you can, have family members step up. If you can, drop as much additional tasks as you can afford. 

Children 12 and over should be cooking and can cook. Learn how to to cook together. 

Learn how to unload your plate so you are not doing so much. You may have to cut a lot out of your life to make room for the healing you have to do.
