There are two types of Western Philosophers:
Ancient Greek Philosophers (Pythagoras to 380 CE)
Roman/Modern Philosophers (380+ CE)
When people think “Philosopher” they usually imagine someone who stares off into space and contemplates irrelevant concept without any purpose or relevancy to Life.
And they are true… For the Roman and Modern Philosopher. But not for the Ancient Greek Philosopher.
Ancient Greek Philosophers were the *Real* Teachers. But we don’t like that word. “Teacher.”
The REAL Teacher in ANY Learning Environment is…
- Knowledge of What, Why, and Relativity to Self (Philosophy, Plan, and Theory)
- The Order and The Learning Sequence Journey (The Doing and The Dissection)
- The Problem Solving Process in Application (Questions and Discussion = Scientific Method)
Are we understood?
No one. Not a Single Person replaces this Teacher.
- Knowledge of What, Why, and Relativity to Self (Philosophy, Plan, and Theory)
- The Order and The Learning Sequence Journey (The Doing and The Dissection)
- The Problem Solving Process in Application (Questions and Discussion = Scientific Method)
And anyone who dares calls themselves a “Teacher” has supplanted this :
- Knowledge of What, Why, and Relativity to Self (Philosophy, Plan, and Theory)
- The Order and The Learning Sequence Journey (The Doing and The Dissection)
- The Problem Solving Process in Application (Questions and Discussion = Scientific Method)
For their Ego, which violates the Ethical Law and Natural Order of Learning.
An Ancient Greek Philosopher knew this, which is *why* a Philosopher NEVER calls themselves a Teacher. A Philosopher does not TEACH.
What an Ancient Greek Philosopher did was guide the Student through the Teacher, preserve the Learning Environment for the Student and the Teacher, and guide the Student back to the lesson if they got off track.
A Philosopher was a Shepherd.
A student, in Ancient Greece was called a Discipulus. The Plural of that word was Discipuli hence “Discipline.” As in “Academic Discipline.” And it gave us the word Disciple, which meant “Follower of a Philosopher” who was the Shepherd.
Christ was a Philosopher. He had a Peripatetic School, which was common for Ancient Greek Philosophers.
A Peripatetic School is a “walking school.” Aristotle also had a Peripatetic School.
Christ was a Philosopher.
An Ancient Greek Philosopher shepherded the Discipuli through the Sequence called “The Academic Disciplines.”
Philosophy without the Disciplines becomes Hooey. I am a Philosopher of 30+ years and am the best in my profession. I am allowed to say Modern Philosophy is Hooey.
Academic Discipline without Philosophy is like a bunch a sheep wandering without a Shepherd.
Philosophy keeps the Discipuli on Track and provides Relativity of The Academic Disciplines.
The Academic Disciplines keep the Philosopher Grounded in Relativity.
The Supervisors and Instructors at The Healing Garden are all Philosophers in the likeness of The Ancient Greek Philosophers.
This is why I am so angry at “teachers” today. They have stolen the Education of Children for their Ego and Paycheck. A Disgrace and an Abomination to an Ancient Greek Philosopher, to the sanctity of Education and Learning, and to Mother Nature.
What Modern Philosophers and “Teachers” have done is Ethical Violation of Ethical Law and Natural Order of the utmost Highest Degree. It disgusts me.
How dare they.
