And if you mess up on this, you just made a fool of yourself and showed the world just how little you know about your job… which is a GUARANTEE that you are only attracting Clueless Non-Professionals to your Business.

Selling to the Wrong Tier, is a guarantee that you will ONLY attract Amateurs to your Business. Anyone with Professional experience will know you lack the qualifications to do your job properly because you are doing your job improperly.

If you are Sales, a Recruiter, or a Business Owner, this is Mistake #1 that all amateur’s make that announces to all Professionals “I am incompetent/Uneducated/Lazy/Clueless, and I don’t know what I’m doing! Come work for/with me!”

Uh. No. Definitely NOT someone a Professional would ever do business with.

I wrote this lesson — this one right here — because, as a CEO/CTO, I get a LOT of Girl Scout amateurs trying to sell me Tier #2 jobs in the middle of my REALLY BUSY DAY, which is a testament to how bad the Educational System has gotten, but this is not news to me.

Gatekeep? Now how am I supposed to stay “Accessible” to the people if I’m gatekeeping? Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely understand why other C-Execs Gatekeep. And… I also see how many — not all — C-Execs neglect their people.

I don’t believe Gatekeeping is the best solution. I’m in the process of trying to learn this part of the dance. And it is a dance.
