You “plant a Seed” of Opportunity, which is a metaphor.

Then that seed grows. This too is a metaphor.

That Seed of Opportunity is really the Seed of The Money Tree. And it takes time for this Seed to Grow. 

When the Money Tree bears Fruit, you have your Money and thus the reward of your Patience. This is Literal. 

Money does, very much grow on Trees. If you have a Black Thumb, then you have a different problem and it is not “A Money Problem.”
