About Lesson

This was the most infuriating Teaching error I received.

When I was taught Subtraction, I was taught to look for the “New Quantity.”

Never “The Difference.”

I was also taught that Subtraction is the Opposite of Addition.

“Addition Adds to… Subtraction takes away from…”

There are TWO types of Subtraction.

One is Correct and is the opposite of Addiction.

One is incorrectly called “Subtraction” and uses “Subtraction” to determine the “Difference” and is not at all “The Opposite” of Addition.

In True Subtraction, you are “Taking Away” from something.

But in “The Other Subtraction,” the Calculation is about Distance and Relocation. Not Subtraction or “Taking Away.”

Mathematicians are using the same word for two different Functions.

Mathematicians are not Linguists or Logicians.
