I have a very different approach to Education. 

I have no Academic Discipline Courses. 

The reason for this is because Learning and Education is ALL about The Exploration. The Research is VITAL to The Learning Journey. 

VITAL.

It was the finding a Question. Going to the Library. Browsing old Newspapers. Pouring through books, then… reading through Online Resources, reading Wikipedia Articles, Google Searching for Abstracts… It was the Exploration Process that WAS the Learning. 

When you hand a book to a child and then you read to them from the book, you’ve Bypassed The Learning Journey.

You’ve BYPASSED The LEARNING… JOURNEY. 

Logos is The Teacher. 

Logos is Sentient.

You Bypassed LOGOS… 

Logos has a lot to say about this.

Bypassing Logos is Cheating.

For this reason, I build my classrooms like I build an Easter Egg Hunt modelled after The Chocolate Room in Willy Wonka’s Factory.

Oh… The World I See… 

The purpose of this Course is to Set the Quest, Train the student on Quality, provide the Directions, Maps, and Resources, and then have the Student Explore.

This does something to the mind Teachers and Psychologists over the last 2,000 years never fathomed… which is the problem. 

The Psychological and Biological Health of The Exploring Mind it REQUIRED for Optimum Health.

Do you remember The Truman Show? 

“I want to be an Explorer like Magellan!” 

“Oh! You’re too late,” says the Teacher. 

And the fallen face on Young Truman.

Explorers are the People who must Adventure into the Unknown. And the only Unknown that is left? Wisdom and Knowledge. Space. The Self. Books. Story… 

But all of these are only The Door.

Every single one of us has an Explorer inside of us, and that Explorer is starved to the point of Physical Disease, Mental Illness, and Soul Death.

When I say to you that your Students MUST Explore, I cannot begin to emphasize this Importance. 

Give them Quests.

Find the Questions. 

Find the “Points of Wonder.”

And then, Journey on for those Answers.

THIS is what a Teacher and Parent is. They are Quest Givers.
